Emmy 2020 Awards Live Updates: Jimmy Kimmel hosts virtually, Schitt’s Creek scores early awards – tv

Television shows Succession, Watchmen and Schitt’s Creek look set for multiple wins at Sunday’s Emmy awards, but the biggest buzz may be around the virtual ceremony and its potential for pyjamas, alpacas, and designer Hazmat suits.

“Hello and welcome to the pand-Emmys,” said Kimmel, as producers cut to archive footage of a star-studded audience, before revealing the venue’s empty seats.
